The Long Beach Breast Cancer garden has truly blossomed this year with the new design by Joyce and landscaping.  It is a breathtaking site as you are leaving Long Beach.  This is going to be a team effort to keep the garden looking beautiful.  Many thanks to the City of Long Beach beach maintenance for the planting of the flowers we provided and for helping to keep up with the maintenance.

The revamping of the garden was an idea for anyone to come and visit, sit awhile, to reflect and remember loved ones, friends whose lives have been touched by cancer.  This undertaking did not happen without the generosity of others.  The arbor and the installation were donated by Dr & Mrs. Cary Golub and family.  Their efforts in supporting the Long Beach Breast Cancer Coalition over the past ten years have truly Made A Difference to many people and their families.  Dr. Golub has joined us as a Board of Director this year.  He is looking forward in helping us along with countless others to continue our mission in helping others who have been touched by breast cancer.  The Lend a Helping Hand Program which was started by the coalition under the direction of Joyce Smolkin is solely supported by Empire Kayak fund raiser which is held in September.
